Dr Crystallee Crain is a long time activist and scholar with roots from Flint, Michigan and chosen homes in Oakland, CA and Detroit, MI. After 18 years teaching in institutions of higher education and 20 years in the social sector, she wrote this book from a design thinking perspective desiring for innovation for the alleviation of unnecessary suffering in and for the black community - cutting across all spectrums of experience.
